Internship Areas
Breakthrough receives interns in the following areas:
Adult Homeless Services
Assisting with the various programs in the shelter:
- Program Assistant . coordinating basic processes, events, and activities for the guests.
- Life Transforming Skills . employment training, housing, and counseling. (This is appropriate for interns seeking clinical experiences; MSW supervision is also available.)
- Spiritual Formation . implementing the discipleship program.
Community Relations
Assisting with the programming and special events offered to the community.
Food Services
Assisting with the preparation of meals in the shelters.
Non-profit Administration and Development
Assisting in the administrative, human resources, or fund development teams with various projects and initiatives.
Volunteer Coordinating
Assisting to recruit and manage volunteers in some of Breakthrough.s programs.
Youth and Family Services
Assisting with the after -school academic or sports programming.
