Equipping students with the education and skills necessary for success in kindergarten and beyond

The Beginners program provides instruction to young learners in core subjects including literacy, math, science and social studies. The program aims to develop emergent skills that are essential to reading and writing, using creative activities and hands-on exploration that correspond to developmental stages and Illinois Learning and Development Standards. The program offers full-day preschool, with care before and after the program to accommodate the schedules of working families. When a child exits the program to kindergarten, Breakthrough emphasizes a smooth transition through parent partnerships and collaboration with various local schools.
