Violence Prevention Initiative 1

Partnering with local residents to interrupt violence, create safe spaces, and provide opportunities and resources for those being restored to community.

Communities Partnering 4 Peace (CP4P), features fourteen of Chicago’s leading outreach organizations who have combined their expertise to impact twenty-two Chicago communities most affected by gun violence. CP4P, convened by Metropolitan Family Services, is a framework that provides a comprehensive approach to reducing violence. Its work is rooted in nonviolence, trauma-informed care, hyper-local collaboration and restorative justice practices.
